Councilmember Ryan Eades Files for District D, Cary Town Council

(Cary, NC) —- Ryan Eades of Cary filed today for the Cary Town Council District D seat. Eades has served District D on the Town Council since January 2023.

“I am excited to announce my candidacy for Cary Town Council and look forward to continuing my service to Cary,” said Eades. He looks forward to continuing to focus on improving connectivity, balancing growth, enhancing environmental conservation, and remaining committed to fiscal responsibility as the town looks to commence several large capital projects in the coming years. “We as a town need to focus more on the western parts of Cary and be strategic about the remaining developable land. We do a lot of living in western Cary but not as much working and playing and I’d like to see more emphasis on mixed-use and walkable communities that emphasize the live-work-play mantra.”

Eades has lived in Cary since 2010 and has been involved in the community for almost a decade. He has a background as a volunteer on the town’s Planning & Zoning Board, being originally appointed in 2014 and serving as vice chair starting in 2017 and chair in 2019. He was heavily involved in the creation of the Imagine Cary community plan, which contains the policies used to evaluate future development. “I am passionate about balancing growth with environmental and infrastructure concerns and this passion is one of the reasons I’m running to continue my service on our town council,” said Eades.

“Ryan has the knowledge, experience, and leadership we desperately need from our District D representative, especially during this critical time in Cary. I’ve witnessed firsthand his ability to bring people together to get things done and his passion for making our community better. I wholeheartedly endorse him and encourage others to elect to keep Ryan on the Cary Council,” stated Cary’s Mayor Harold Weinbrecht.
